"I kicked my way out of the aft cabin. My face mask was ripped off before I could do anything. The next thing I knew, I was breathing water. My regulator had been cut. I shouldn’t have let him surprise me like that. With a quick motion, I ducked down through his grip while simultaneously bringing up the Nemo, switched on. I could see the surprise and then the fear in his eyes through his face mask as the saw cut through his femoral artery, a dark cloud already rapidly enveloping his body. He struggled, grabbing at his leg. Seconds later he was lying motionless on the bottom."

About The Author

I went to the University of Miami, where I majored in biology with studies in Marine Microbiology. My world took a turn when I spent a year filming a documentary in the Virgin Islands. Not long afterwards I found myself in the jungles of Mexico where I traveled with my German shepherd for a year surfing the warm south Pacific swells.

The captivating JACK RAND SERIES has been inspired by my adventures in documentary filmmaking, climbing, surfing, as well as my immersion into the worlds of cycling, long-distance running, and long-distance swimming.

Amidst the intricacies of business, marriage, and the joys of children and grandchildren, my experiences have laid the foundation for an enthralling narrative journey within the pages of the series.
