Gina, positioned thirty feet up in the crook of a branch of a strangler fig tree flipped down her NOD as the lights went out. She had already scoped her targets. First, the guard in the south tower. When the lights went out, he was alert, looking for signs of trouble. It was like he was looking at her as the bullet she fired took half his head off. The second she saw the white mist from the blood in her NOD, she repositioned the crosshairs on the head of the guard in the north tower. When she targeted a hostile in her scope, she envisioned the men wearing black who shot and killed her father. She pulled the trigger, and the .300 caliber round pulverized the man’s head. Funny how blood looked through the NOD, she thought to herself.
“Guard towers down, copy?”
“Copy.”

Excerpt
“Jack, that’s crazy, I know you’re a badass but nine against three when they know you’re coming. Maybe we should call in for help.”
“By the time they get here she’d be dead. I’m not going to let her die.” I clicked off.
The three of us discussed a plan. I’d go for the tunnel if in fact that’s what it was. If it was I’d let Gina and Bear know. There was a small hill on the north side of the wall about fifty feet from the outside wall. Gina would make her way to the top of the hill with the MK22. From there she should be able to take out the two guards in the back and then move her sights to the front. As the guys in the front started looking her way Bear would take them out with the M4 after he maneuvered into position just outside the front gates.
Assuming it was a tunnel  the plan was for them to wait until I signaled before firing. I had to be in position to take out the guys near Hannah. If they suspected anything there was no clue what they’d do with her.
